REGION
Made with grapes from Quinta da Carolina, demarcated Douro region, Cima Corgo sub-region, located on the left bank of the Douro River, 4 miles south of Pinhão with exposure to the north and vines letter "A" with about 40 years.
HARVEST
Hot summer, days with very high temperatures at the beginning of September (35-40°C) gave grapes with good degrees. The grapes were hand-selected bunch to bunch.
GRAPE VARIETIES
Old vines, consisting of mixed varieties such as Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Carvalha.
VINIFICATION
Typical foot treading, in traditional lagares,, with fermentation temperature of 28 º C. The malolatic fermentation occurred in Inox vats, and the wine has then aged in 225l french oak vats for 18 months.

TASTING NOTES
Dark ruby color. Arise in the nose notes of jam, fruit ripe, red fruits, fine wood, some notes of chocolate. In the mouth, the wine seems to be bulky, with the acidity to balance the set, round, with elegant tannins. Final long and persistent
