REGION
Made with grapes from Quinta da Carolina, demarcated Douro region, Cima Corgo sub-region, located on the left bank of the Douro River, 4 kilometers south of Pinhão with exposure to the north and vines letter "A" with over 40 years old.

HARVEST
It was a year with a hot dry summer. The maturation progressed very quickly and the vintage was ahead of normal. Good health of grapes, a high degree. Wines with a deep color, ripe tannins and lots of freshness.

GRAPE VARIETIES
Old vines, consisting of mixed Douro’s typical varieties such as Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional e Tinta Barroca.

VINIFICATION
Harvested in 25 kg plastic boxes, hand selected by grape, destemmed, and typically foot treading in traditional lagares where fermented in vats for one week at a temperature of 27 ° C. The malolactic fermentation was made in new French oak casks where the wine matured for 18 months.
