QUINTA DA BASÍLIA OLD VINES : SUPER PREMIUM
It is a red wine with an intense ruby hue and a complex bouquet, with a strong presence of wild well-ripe red berries combined with spices and floral notes, all harmoniously integrated with excellent-quality oak. The palate displays remarkable structure and balance, fine acidity and silky tannins. It is an elegant and age-worthy wine with a persistent, lingering aftertaste.

GRAPE ORIGINS
The grapes are sourced from very old vines with 100 years of age and with predominant exposure East and East-South. Vineyards are planted on traditional terraces of schistous soils.
GRAPE VARIETIES
A mix of very old vines with more than 25 grapes varieties.
VINIFICATION
Grapes are hand picked and transported to the winery in small plastic crates. A manual triage was undertaken before the grapes being de-stemmed and gently crushed. The fermentation is carried out in small stainless steel tanks with temperature controlled.
